The Haliburton Highlands is located in Central Ontario and is a landscape of lakes, forests and rolling hills. We are located approximately 2.5 hour northeast of Toronto. This rural area is home to several small towns and communities that service the needs of full time and seasonal residents.
Discover the peaceful beauty of the Highlands while you explore the heritage and cultural activities available. The Haliburton School of the Arts offers courses and workshops to help discover, or expand, your creative side. Many artists live and work in the Highlands and they open their studios and galleries to welcome visitors all year. Museums, galleries and heritage sites are scattered throughout the Highlands and offer insight into the Highlands’ culture.
The many lakes and trails in the area encourage physical activity while docks and sunsets offer encouragement to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Wildlife abounds in the area, and together with landscape vistas, they are an invitation to photographers.
“A Natural Work of Art” definitely describes the Haliburton Highlands and we invite you to discover it for yourself!
